THE CREATOR

Meet Muklay

Muchlis Fachri (Muklay) is a Jakarta-based visual artist born in 1993, recognized for his vibrant visual language that bridges contemporary art, pop culture, and surreal storytelling. Since emerging in the early 2010s, Muklay has developed a distinctive artistic identity through bold colors, imaginative characters, and playful yet introspective narratives.

Drawing from personal experiences, inner reflections, and observations of contemporary society, Muklay employs a dynamic pop-art aesthetic to explore themes of youth culture, urban life, identity, and the anxieties of living in a rapidly evolving world. His works often combine humor, absurdity, and emotional honesty, creating visual narratives that are both accessible and deeply personal. Beyond the gallery space, Muklay has actively expanded the reach of contemporary art through collaborations with international brands, cultural institutions, and creative communities. Through this intersection of fine art and popular culture, he continues to challenge conventional boundaries while fostering meaningful connections between art and broader audiences.

THE DESIGN

The Joy of Play

The Muklay × QUAD collaboration tells the story of rediscovering a love for sports through curiosity and the joy of play. Jabrik (the visual character) represents anyone who is willing to embrace new experiences. As he steps onto the padel court, he doesn't just find a new game—he rediscovers the excitement of movement, creativity, and self-expression.

Through Muklay's signature illustrations, the collection comes to life with playful characters that capture the energy and emotions of the game. Combined with QUAD's precision-crafted performance, it serves as a reminder that falling in love with sports again begins with one simple thing: having fun.
