Meet Muklay
Muchlis Fachri (Muklay) is a Jakarta-based visual artist born in 1993, recognized for his vibrant visual language that bridges contemporary art, pop culture, and surreal storytelling. Since emerging in the early 2010s, Muklay has developed a distinctive artistic identity through bold colors, imaginative characters, and playful yet introspective narratives.
Drawing from personal experiences, inner reflections, and observations of contemporary society, Muklay employs a dynamic pop-art aesthetic to explore themes of youth culture, urban life, identity, and the anxieties of living in a rapidly evolving world. His works often combine humor, absurdity, and emotional honesty, creating visual narratives that are both accessible and deeply personal.
